Breakfast with Flowers is Instagram’s No. 1 Station for Dreamy Foodies

Breakfast can set the mood for the rest of your day, and that’s why it’s so important you enjoy it to the fullest. Food blogger Katja Meier found a unique way to make sure her breakfast will put a smile on her face every time—decorating everything she eats with edible flowers.

Meier is a full-time teacher who started her blogging journey in 2016. After her students advised her to join Instagram, she started the page @breakfastwithflowers, which attracted almost 100,000 followers so far.

Meier’s creations may seem elaborate, but she told Nature Restore it usually takes her 10 minutes to arrange them, while taking photos and editing requires more time. She grows the flowers in her own garden, and she mostly used them for decorative purposes in the beginning, before realizing many of them are actually edible.

In addition to Instagram, Meier’s recipes can also be found on her blog Breakfast with Flowers, and they’re 100 plant-based. She mostly crafts recipes for smoothies, smoothie bowls, chia pudding, oatmeal, and other healthy breakfast essentials, but you can also find occasional toast and pancake recipes on her blog.
