Syrup

Most of the time, when you open a can of fruit, you will see the pieces or floating in some sort of liquid. This liquid is actually a sugary syrup that helps preserve the fruit, but because of it, you are adding a ton more unhealthy calories and sugar into your diet. Though you do need fruit and getting some from a can is better than nothing, just know that you will suffer from added sugar.

Frozen Fruit

While canned fruit is definitely the cheapest option in terms of affordability, but if you still can’t swing fresh fruit, then frozen is the way to go! Frozen fruit is preserved just by being frozen with no added sugars, which is much better than canned fruit and also usually cheaper than fresh fruit and just as good!
