Butter is a pretty popular alternative to vegetable and canola oil and many people like using it to fry their food. If you still haven’t mastered the art of using butter this way, here’s a couple of things to keep in mind.
Low Heat
Frying butter on high heat is never a good idea because it will burn faster than oil. Turn down the heat and keep a close eye on your butter as you go along.
Pre-Heating
Another good way to prevent your butter from burning is to pre-heat your frying pan before putting it inside, ideally on medium-low or medium heat.
Right Amount
Don’t go overboard when you’re frying foods with butter – using just enough to coat the bottom of your pan is the best idea, and you can swirl it around as it melts.
Perfect Mix
If you don’t mind using oil, as well, you can mix these two together. You should do this if the dish you’re making requires more heat or cooking time, but you still want it to have that signature buttery flavor.
