Three Crepe Fillings to Try at Home

Is there anything better than a freshly cooked French crepe, oozing cheese, butter, and general deliciousness? These stunning savory pancakes are easy to cook at home. Once you’ve found your perfect batter recipe, check out these ideas for fillings which are tasty, original, and simple.

Brie, Cranberry and Greens

Ingredients (to fill four crepes)

  • 1 cup of brie
  • 4 tablespoons of cranberry sauce
  • 2 cups of spinach
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Wilt the spinach in a large pan, make sure to squeeze any excess water off.
  2. Slice the brie into thin pieces.
  3. Spread the freshly cooked crepe with some of the cranberry sauce.
  4. Layer over slices of brie, and top with some of the wilted greens.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and serve.

Ham, Mozzarella, and Fig

Ingredients (to fill 4 crepes):

  • 4 slices of ham
  • 2 balls of mozzarella
  • 4 fresh figs
  • 4 tablespoons of tomato chutney
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Spread some of the tomato chutney over each crepe.
  2. Tear up the mozzarella and drop over the crepes.
  3. Tear up the ham slices and layer over the mozzarella.
  4. Slice the figs and layer over the ham.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, serve immediately.

Artichoke, Olive, and Mozzarella

Ingredients (to fill 4 crepes)

  • 1/2 cup of jarred artichokes
  • 1/2 cup of black olives
  • 2 balls of mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup of rocket leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Tear the mozzarella into strips and layer over each crepe.
  2. Slice the olives and artichokes and layer over the mozzarella.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and top with a few rocket leaves.
