As much as we all love lemonade, we don’t always drink it to its full potential. This is because it’s a heck of a lot easier to buy lemonade at the store than it is to make it ourselves—and the fact of the matter is, homemade lemonade, when done right, is both healthier and tastier. So if you want to take a break from store-bought lemonade, here’s a great recipe that’s also shockingly simple.

Lemons

The first thing you need to do is gather about 12-14 lemons, and squeeze them to their full capacity into a large pitcher. To add a bit of extra girth to the mixture, pour in another 1/2 cup of lemon juice.

Sugar Water

Now it’s time to add a little bit of sweetness to your lemonade concoction. Create sugar water by mixing a 1/2 cup of sugar with a 1/2 cup of boiling water. The sugar will dissolve, and then you can pour it into the pitcher.

Water and Ice

For the final and most important step, fill the rest of the pitcher up with cold water and ice. Mix it up thoroughly and you’ve got yourself a refreshing pitcher of lemonade!
