Maintaining a garden can be quite a challenge, especially if you live in an area with cold winters or scorching summers. Fortunately, there are plenty of delicious herbs that can grow year-round right on your windowsill, as long as you get enough sunlight.
Basil
The popular and versatile herb is surprisingly expensive in supermarkets, but you can grow it cheap and easy right in your kitchen. Keep it in the area of your home that receives the most sunlight throughout the day.
Chives are a simple herb that can be added to many dishes, and they require very little maintenance. Keep them in a cooler area but make sure that they still get plenty of light.
Rosemary
This herb that is great for meats, fish, and potatoes can grow fruitfully all year if you give it plenty of water and light. What’s more, it will make your house smell fantastic!
Mint
Mint grows quickly and in large quantities, but doesn’t require full light, making it a perfect indoor plant.
