Whether the weather is hot or cold, it’s always a good time to have a beer when you’re in the south. If you’re ever there for a visit, seeing where your favorite brews get made is a unique way to see a place. Visit one of these breweries for a great experience and most importantly, delicious beer. 

North Carolina

Asheville, NC is a town that is aptly named “Beer Town USA”. This town has more breweries per square mile than anywhere else in the US! Highland Brewing Company is one of the best famous for beers like their Gaelic Ale, an amber colored American ale, and it’s Oatmeal Porter, which is a rich, dark and malty brew.

South Carolina

Charleston, SC also called the Lowcountry, gets pretty hot and humid. If you’re visiting the downtown area and need a break, go just outside the center to Mount Pleasant, home of Westbrook Brewing Company. One of their best beers is their goes, which a unique German sour beer. 

Georgia

Sweetwater Brewing Company in Atlanta makes the state of Georgia proud. They have a ton of variety of beers, but some of their most famous is their refreshing 420 Extra Pale Ale and rich Hop Hash Double IPA.
