Is the standard size of Reese’s peanut butter cup too small for your candy cravings? Are you dreaming about finding a giant Reese’s peanut butter cup? Well, Hershey’s, the company behind Reese’s, finally decided to do something about it.
Hershey’s recently introduced Reese’s Deconstructed Peanut Butter Cup Kit, which allows candy lovers to construct their own gigantic peanut butter cup. The kit comes with a giant 9 oz milk chocolate shell & lid and a 10 oz jar of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup filling.
“From Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins to Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Thins and everything in between, we know how personal your ideal chocolate to peanut butter ratio is. So go ahead, amp up the peanut butter or tone it down — we won’t judge,” the company said in a press release.
The kit costs $29.99 and was initially made available on Hershey’s official web shop. The first batch quickly sold out, but the company hinted that another batch would be released “sooner rather than later.”
Apparently, the company was inspired by this offering by a viral Reddit post. One candy lover bought a five-pack of Reese’s peanut butter cups but discovered that not a single one had peanut butter filling inside. The Deconstructed Peanut Butter Cup Kit was a way for Hershey’s to make “things right.”
