Leave for half an hour, then follow with 100ml of vinegar. Pour a full kettle of boiling water down the sink to wash it off.

Cleaning the microwave can be daunting, but it gets much easier if you start by microwaving a bowl of water with 50ml white vinegar and some sliced lemon. Do a five-minute program and leave the door closed for five more minutes, then get cleaning.

Cleaning Baking Dishes
Baking dishes can get so dirty that you never want to clean them, but there’s a way you can make the task a lot easier. Make a paste using white vinegar, dish soap, and bicarbonate of soda. Scrub the dish with the paste (wear gloves!) and cover with a kitchen roll. Leave it for an hour then wipe everything with a kitchen roll and wash as usual.
