One of the best things about brownies is that they’re quick and easy to make, but don’t expect to do it perfectly on the first try. Their rich and fudgy texture can be difficult to achieve, and if you think you’re not quite there yet, you’re probably making one of these common mistakes.

Pan Size

The pan you’re using to bake your brownies can make all the difference. If the recipe you’re using comes with its own suggestion, strictly follow them, or adjust the portion to the pan that you have. Using a pan of the wrong size can lead to overcooking or undercooking your brownies, and eight or nine-inch pans are your best bet.

Chocolate Choice

The type of chocolate that you’re using can make or break your brownies. Go with delicious chocolate of high quality to make sure your brownies are as tasty as it gets. Replacing it with cocoa powder is also an option if you feel that your brownies will taste better this way.

Perfect Timing

Most people use a toothpick to check the firmness of their brownies, but this method doesn’t always work. Waiting for moist crumbs to disappear from the toothpick isn’t an effective strategy when it comes to this dessert, because you’ll end up with over-baked brownies after waiting for too long.
