How to Prepare Spiced Chai Tea

It’s a combination of black tea, aromatic spices, and often times plant milk to create a delicious concoction. It can help with upset stomachs and even reduce blood sugar levels. Ingredients:

  • large glass or glass mug
  • cinnamon
  • ginger
  • cloves
  • cardamom
  • star anise
  • fennel
  • nutmeg (optional)
  • plant milk
  • spoon

Instructions:

  1. Bring the plant milk and chai spices to a simmer in a small saucepan on the stove. Ration the spices to how spiced you want the drink to taste. For a subdued taste lessen the fennel and anise and focus more on the cinnamon.
  2. Add 2-3 bags of tea depending on how many people you want to serve.
  3. Steep the tea for 10-15 minutes and turn off the stove.
