Homemade ice cream is nothing like what you would get in the frozen section of the grocery store; it is creamy, airy, and so flavorful. If you want to achieve that slow churned effect but don’t have an ice cream churner, this no church ice cream recipe is for you. The only tool you need is an electric hand mixer and you can make yourself ice cream non-stop!

Ingredients

For the basic no-churn ice cream, you will need heavy whipping cream, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. You can make different flavors by using various extracts or add-ins, like mini chocolate chips, nuts, or cocoa powder.

Method

  1. Put a stainless steel bowl and the metal whisks from the hand mixer in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. This will help the ice cream set up faster.
  2. Whip the whipping cream with an electric hand mixer until stiff peaks form.
  3. Add in the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, salt, or whatever other add-ins or flavorings you like and fold them in with a rubber spatula.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan and leave it in the freezer for at least two hours before enjoying. It is better if it sits overnight.
