Are you running low on ideas for what to do with fish? While it might seem like there simply aren’t a whole lot of flavors that you can add to options like salmon or tuna, the truth is that marinades are a great way to add a unique flavor to these fish options.
We love the combination of the flavors of garlic and soy sauce, which we have are the bases of one of our go-to marinade choices when preparing fish. It works especially well with strong flavors like salmon, tuna, and mahi-mahi, but can really be used for any type of fish that you like.
Here’s how to make it!
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 0.5 ounce lemon juice
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
The instructions for using this marinade are really quite simple. All you need to do is combine these ingredients in a container such as a plastic bag or a Tupperware container, stir them together thoroughly, and then add the piece of fish to the marinade.
Let the fish sit in the marinade for 2-4 hours in order to ensure that the garlic soy marinade flavor is imbued. After that, just prepare the fish however you’d like to, and enjoy!
