Frozen Strawberry Margarita

Summer is gone. The days are getting colder and shorter. But now and then we still manage to enjoy a sunny afternoon on the terrace or at the park.

Some of us will remember at this point the delicious strawberries we ate during the summer. If by any chance you kept some leftover strawberries in the freezer—you are very lucky. Indeed, the perfect addition to such a sunny fall afternoon is a tall, chilled glass of strawberry margarita.

Ingredients

A cup of frozen strawberries
Ice
1-2 tablespoons sugar
1 serving of excellent tequila

Preparation

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until everything is combined and ground fully. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary or thyme sprig, or some fresh basil flowers. Drink immediately.

Changes

Strawberries can be replaced with almost any summer fruit—such as raspberries, blueberries, sweet cherries, etc. The tequila can be replaced with high quality vodka.

If the fruits are very sweet, you can reduce the sugar a bit, or just add 1-2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice for some refreshing sourness.
