Classic and Satisfying Caesar Salad Recipe

The Caesar salad is a timeless dish that combines crisp romaine lettuce, crunchy croutons, and a rich, creamy dressing to create a meal that’s both elegant and satisfying. Perfect as a starter or a light main course, this classic salad has won the hearts of food lovers around the world. Let’s jump in.

Ingredients:

For the Salad:

  • 2 heads of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup of croutons (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese

For the Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 4 anchovy fillets, minced (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Start by washing the romaine lettuce. Once clean, chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. 
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and anchovy fillets (if using). Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. 
  3. Place the chopped romaine lettuce in a large salad bowl. Add the croutons and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Drizzle the dressing over the salad, and toss gently.
