If you’re having cheese lovers coming over for dinner, and looking for a quick dish you can prepare in no time, fried cheese is always a good idea. Cheese lovers won’t be able to resist this delicious dish, and you need less than five ingredients to make it. When served with tartar or tomato sauce, fried cheese is the perfect appetizer that always pleases the crowd.

Ingredients:

  • 300-350 g Gouda, Mozzarella, or other cheese of your choice
  • 2 eggs
  • flour
  • bread crumbs

Instructions:

  1. Cut the cheese into triangles, bars, or other shapes as desired, about 8-10 mm thick.
  2. Roll each piece in flour, then in scrambled eggs, and then in bread crumbs. After that, roll them in eggs and bread crumbs one more time.
  3. Transfer the cheese pieces to the tray and leave them in the freezer for 30-40 minutes.
  4. After removing the cheese pieces from the freezer, fry them in a deep pan in heated oil, first on one side, and then turn to the other.
  5. Place the baked cheese pieces on a napkin to soak up excess fat, and serve while warm with a sauce of your choice. It goes great with tartar and tomato sauce.
