Looking for a delicious dessert that doesn’t require you to turn on your oven? In that case, banoffee pie is just the thing you need. This famous British dessert combines bananas, whipped cream, and caramel to create a sweet perfection. It is simple to make, doesn’t require baking, and is so delicious that you won’t be able to stop at having just one slice.

How to Make Banoffee Pie

There are plenty of banoffee pie recipes out there, each offering a different way to achieve the same result. However, the one we liked the most came from a professional chef and popular TikTok food creator Andy Hearnden.

Hearnden starts by boiling two tins of condensed milk for three hours and then leaving them to cool off in order to create caramel. Alternatively, you can combine condensed milk with butter and brown sugar in a saucepan and stir on low heat until the ingredients combine.

Next, you need to make a crust for your banoffee pie. Place 1 pound of digestive cookies (or Graham crackers) in a food processor and blend until you achieve “sand consistency.” Combine with 7 ounces of melted butter and place in a tart pan while pressing at the bottom and against the edges until you get a flat surface. Chill for one to two hours.

After your base is chilled, pour in the caramel on it and spread evenly. Slice four bananas and layer them on the caramel. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with grated chocolate.

You can leave the banoffee pie for a few hours in the fridge to completely set or dig in immediately. It is up to you.

Banoffee Pie 🥧 Ingredients: – 200g (7 oz) butter – 450g (1 lb) digestive biscuits – 2 tins condensed milk – 4 bananas, sliced – 600ml (2.5 cups) cream – 2 tbsp icing sugar – chocolate, to garnish Method: 1. To make the caramel, boil the tins of condensed milk for 3 hours, then allow to cool completely. I left it overnight. 2. To make the base, place the digestive biscuits into a food processor and blend until they reach a sandy consistency. Next, pour in the melted butter and mix until well incorporated. 3. Turn out into a 26cm (10-inch) fluted tart pan and press evenly onto all sides. Use a flat-bottomed glass to get the base really flat. Place this into the fridge to chill for 1-2 hours. 4. Pour in the cooled caramel and spread it evenly across the base. Then, layer it with the sliced bananas. 5. Whip the cream with the icing sugar and then top the pie with it. 6. Garnish with some finely grated chocolate. 7. Slice and enjoy! #baking #cooking #recipe #foryou #pie #viralvideos
