There are many tasty recipes that only call for the use of egg whites, but that doesn’t mean you should throw away your egg yolks once you’re done with them. Instead of letting them go to waste, here are three things you can do with them.

Storing Your Egg Yolks

There’s no need to immediately get rid of your egg yolks when it’s so easy to store them. After placing them inside an airtight container, pour a sip of cold water inside and place them in the fridge. Beating the eggs with some salt and sugar is also an option if you want to preserve them for longer.

Recipes with Egg Yolks

It would also be a waste to throw away your egg yolks when there’s an endless list of recipes that call for this ingredient. They’re often used in desserts, such as pancakes, crème brûlée, or vanilla ice cream, and you can also use them to make your own homemade mayonnaise.

Not Just Food

If you’re not in the mood to make another dish with your egg yolks, how about getting a little bit creative? Using them in non-food-related DIY projects, such as homemade face masks and hair conditioners, is also an option.
