Potato chips are the favorite snack for many people. They are crispy, salty, and downright delicious. However, they are also loaded with carbs and unhealthy fats, making them a very bad choice if you want to keep a healthy diet. Luckily, there is a great low-carb alternative to potato chips that is just as delicious: onion chips. You can make them by yourself and they only require two ingredients.

How to Make Onion Chips

There are quite a few variations of onion chips out there, but we liked the one from TikTok food content creator Stella Drivas the most. Her take on this exciting snack is simple and straightforward.

To make the onion chips, start by peeling two larger white onions and then slicing them to 1/4 inch thickness. Make sure to handle the slices with care in order to keep all the layers together.

Next, place a parchment paper on a baking sheet and line it with shredded Parmesan cheese. You can also use other hard cheeses or experiment with a combination of multiple cheeses.

After that, cover the cheese with onion slices and then brush them with some olive oil. Sprinkle with seasoning like salt, garlic powder, and paprika.

Pop the baking sheet into a preheated oven at 400F and bake for roughly 18 minutes or until the onion slices become golden brown. The cheese will bake into the onion slices and you’ll get a delicious cheesy and crunchy snack that pairs excellently with all kinds of dips.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound orzo
  • 1 pound broccoli
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • Kosher salt
  • black pepper
  • sliced chives

Instructions:

  1. Put the onion into a large skillet over medium heat and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about seven minutes until softened.
  2. Add broccoli to the skillet and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until bright green.
  3. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the orzo to the mix, cooking for another minute.
  5. Raise the heat to high and stir in the broth, seasoning the mixture with salt. Lower the heat to medium-low.
  6. Allow to simmer for another 7 minutes, and stir in the milk before returning the mixture to a simmer.
  7. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheddar. Let sit for another 5 minutes until the cheddar is melted in. Stir again and sprinkle in the chives.

Mac & Cheese

Place your macaroni in a large bowl and grate some cheese over it. Then, pour a generous amount of cooking liquid into the mix. Place some cling wrap over the bowl and poke holes in it before placing it in the microwave. Continue to microwave the bowl until the pasta is cooked.

Cauliflower Cheese

Cut one large cauliflower into bite-sized pieces. Place the pieces in a microwave-friendly bowl and add 150 grams of cheddar cheese. Drizzle it with some hot English mustard, whole milk, and thyme leaves before microwaving for eight minutes.

Scrambled Eggs

Crack two eggs and use a fork to mix them. Add two tablespoons of milk before sprinkling some salt over the mixture. Warm the eggs in the microwave for 30 seconds before removing them, beating them again, and warming them further. Once ready, put them on some toast.

We usually don’t consider cucumber salad to be a dish worth getting excited about despite having numerous health benefits. But it can be if you think outside the box and put some effort into preparing it.

In recent months, cucumber salad has taken over TikTok, and content creators are racing to create new and exciting recipes that take this dish to the next level. One particular TikToker, Logan Moffitt, is at the forefront of this trend.

Moffitt is credited for popularizing cucumber salad on TikTok by sharing videos containing all sorts of unusual and tasty recipes. He usually prepares an Asian-inspired version of the salad, combining cucumber slices with various other ingredients into a plastic container and then mixing it all together.

In one of his more popular videos, Moffitt is seen slicing an entire cucumber into a plastic container and then adding whipped chives, cream cheese, smoked salmon, onions, fresh dill, capers with juice, everything bagel seasoning, MSG, avocado, and salt and pepper. He then puts a lid on top of the plastic container and shakes vigorously until all the ingredients are well combined.

Are you looking for a scrumptious meal to surprise your loved ones with after a long, tiring day? Well, these coconut-lime chicken wings are sure to do the trick. Here’s how to cook up some delectable coconut-lime chicken wings that are sure to satisfy your family’s tastebuds.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3/4 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Put the chicken wings in a large bowl along with baking powder and 2 teaspoons of salt.
  2. Toss well, and then place the wings on a large baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.

Ingredients:

  • One head of cauliflower
  • homemade or store-bought tahini
  • bunch of fresh parsley for garnish
  • pomegranate seeds for garnish
  • TBSP of mayo
  • Jerusalem Spice Blend
  • 1/2 tsp of sumac
  • 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven on the roasting setting to 425 degrees
  • Bring a large pot of water to a rapid boil and put your cauliflower in the water until it is fork-tender
  • Take the cauliflower out and let it cool and dry, then mix it with the mayo and spices
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and grease it with cooking oil of choice
  • Place the cauliflower in the oven to roast for 30 minutes to an hour or until it is crispy and cooked through
  • Arrange on a bed of tahini and drizzle a bit more on top of the cauliflower. Garnish with the pomegranate seeds, and parsley, sumac, and paprika!

If you’re looking for a scrumptious and unique dinner that’s actually quick and easy to prepare, then a one-pan Cheesy Broccoli-Cheddar Orzo is for you. Here is your guide to making this scrumptiously cheesy dish in 30 minutes or less.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound orzo
  • 1 pound broccoli
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • Kosher salt
  • black pepper
  • sliced chives

Instructions:

  1. Put the onion into a large skillet over medium heat and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about seven minutes until softened.
  2. Add broccoli to the skillet and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until bright green.
  3. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the orzo to the mix, cooking for another minute.
  5. Raise the heat to high and stir in the broth, seasoning the mixture with salt. Lower the heat to medium-low.
  6. Allow to simmer for another 7 minutes, and stir in the milk before returning the mixture to a simmer.
  7. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheddar. Let sit for another 5 minutes until the cheddar is melted in. Stir again and sprinkle in the chives.

  • 14 ounces tofu
  • 5 grams dried seaweed

Instructions:

  1. Place a pot over a high heat. Pour water into the pot and then whisk in the miso paste and soy sauce. Chop up the spinach and the tofu as you wait for the water to boil.
  2. Once the pot of water is boiling, reduce the heat and add noodles, cooking for 3 minutes. Add the tofu and spinach and continue to cook for around another 30 seconds. Top with seaweed and scallions before serving.

Mac & Cheese

Place your macaroni in a large bowl and grate some cheese over it. Then, pour a generous amount of cooking liquid into the mix. Place some cling wrap over the bowl and poke holes in it before placing it in the microwave. Continue to microwave the bowl until the pasta is cooked.

Cauliflower Cheese

Cut one large cauliflower into bite-sized pieces. Place the pieces in a microwave-friendly bowl and add 150 grams of cheddar cheese. Drizzle it with some hot English mustard, whole milk, and thyme leaves before microwaving for eight minutes.

Scrambled Eggs

Crack two eggs and use a fork to mix them. Add two tablespoons of milk before sprinkling some salt over the mixture. Warm the eggs in the microwave for 30 seconds before removing them, beating them again, and warming them further. Once ready, put them on some toast.

We usually don’t consider cucumber salad to be a dish worth getting excited about despite having numerous health benefits. But it can be if you think outside the box and put some effort into preparing it.

In recent months, cucumber salad has taken over TikTok, and content creators are racing to create new and exciting recipes that take this dish to the next level. One particular TikToker, Logan Moffitt, is at the forefront of this trend.

Moffitt is credited for popularizing cucumber salad on TikTok by sharing videos containing all sorts of unusual and tasty recipes. He usually prepares an Asian-inspired version of the salad, combining cucumber slices with various other ingredients into a plastic container and then mixing it all together.

In one of his more popular videos, Moffitt is seen slicing an entire cucumber into a plastic container and then adding whipped chives, cream cheese, smoked salmon, onions, fresh dill, capers with juice, everything bagel seasoning, MSG, avocado, and salt and pepper. He then puts a lid on top of the plastic container and shakes vigorously until all the ingredients are well combined.

Are you looking for a scrumptious meal to surprise your loved ones with after a long, tiring day? Well, these coconut-lime chicken wings are sure to do the trick. Here’s how to cook up some delectable coconut-lime chicken wings that are sure to satisfy your family’s tastebuds.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3/4 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Put the chicken wings in a large bowl along with baking powder and 2 teaspoons of salt.
  2. Toss well, and then place the wings on a large baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Spray the sheet with cooking spray on either side.
  4. Bake the wings for 40 to 50 minutes, until crispy.
  5. Once the wings are almost ready, pour the honey, lime juice, milk, paprika, and remaining salt into a small pot and cook over medium-high heat. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the baked wings into a broiler. Pour the glaze over and baste the wings generously.
  7. Broil until bubbling, for 1 or 2 minutes.
  8. Arrange the wings on a platter and drizzle in lime juice.

Ingredients:

  • One head of cauliflower
  • homemade or store-bought tahini
  • bunch of fresh parsley for garnish
  • pomegranate seeds for garnish
  • TBSP of mayo
  • Jerusalem Spice Blend
  • 1/2 tsp of sumac
  • 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven on the roasting setting to 425 degrees
  • Bring a large pot of water to a rapid boil and put your cauliflower in the water until it is fork-tender
  • Take the cauliflower out and let it cool and dry, then mix it with the mayo and spices
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and grease it with cooking oil of choice
  • Place the cauliflower in the oven to roast for 30 minutes to an hour or until it is crispy and cooked through
  • Arrange on a bed of tahini and drizzle a bit more on top of the cauliflower. Garnish with the pomegranate seeds, and parsley, sumac, and paprika!
