Ladies and gentlemen….I give you the best turkey Chili you might ever spoon into your mouth. 🦃 🌶(so glad there are emojis for this) What makes this one stand out from the rest is a secret ingredient that will go a long way during the holiday season! You’ll have to read on and see! You can make this in a slow cooker or on the stove the choice is yours. I like to load mine with toppings like avocado, scallions, and cheeeeese! But you don’t have to be as aggressive, I get topping happy (if that’s a thing)! Ingredients: • 1 tbs. Olive Oil • 1 lbs. Ground turkey • 1 Yellow onion (diced) • 1 red bell pepper (diced) • 1 1/2 tbs. Garlic (minced) • 2 1/2 tbs. Chili powder • 2 tbs. Unsweetened Cocoa powder (YES THE 🔑 TO SUCCESS) • 1 tbs. Onion powder • 1/2 tbs. Garlic powder • 1 tbs. Cumin • 1 tsp. Oregano • 1/2 tsp. Red pepper flakes • 1 tbs. Salt and pepper • 1 14.5 oz. can Fire roasted diced tomatoes • 1 15 oz. can Red Kidney beans • 1 15 oz. can Reduced sodium Black Beans • 1 15 oz. can of No sodium Corn • 2 cups of Chicken stock Directions: – In large Dutch oven or soup pot heat olive oil on medium high heat. – Add in onions and bell pepper with pinch of salt and pepper and sauté for 5-8 minutes. Add garlic and stir in for 30 seconds. – Add in ground turkey, break apart with spoon, and cook through about 5-10 minutes. – Add seasonings (this includes cocoa powder and the rest of the salt & pepper) sauté for another few minutes. – Add all other ingredients until the chicken broth (beans, corn, tomatoes) – Starting with 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth add to pot (the extra 1/2 cup is for adding if the chili starts to dry out) – Cover, Turn heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes stirring occasionally. *Pro tip, if you like a thick chili create a slurry to add to the pot mixing 1 tbs. flour into 1/4 cup chicken broth and add to the pot while simmering)* Now all that’s left to do is create the perfect corn bread to dunk into this master piece! 🔥🍴🍁 . . . . . #foodblogger #foodphotography #chili #turkeychili #healthy #thenewhealthy #secretingredient #thefeedfeed #todayfood #dinner #foodpic #cookinglight #allrecipes #tastemade #orlando #orlandofoodie #fiercefoodie

  • 2 minced red bell peppers
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 diced celery stalks
  • 1 minced medium onion
  • 4 cloves finely minced garlic
  • 1 15-oz can kidney beans
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 28 oz can whole tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon coconut sugar or honey, salt, and pepper.

Instructions:

  1. Begin by getting a pot and heating the oil.
  2. Combine the peppers, onion, garlic, and celery.
  3. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes and wait until the onion becomes soft and brown.
  4. You can now include the turkey as well. Cook until the meat is done.
  5. Once it is, add the oregano, chili powder, cumin, and chili flakes. Mix everything together.
  6. While you’re stirring make sure that you separate the meat into smaller pieces.
  7. You can pour in the tomatoes and wait for the turkey chili to start boiling.
  8. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes. The pot should be covered.
  9. To finish off, add the beans, cook for a few minutes.
  10. The only thing you have left is to pour the honey or coconut sugar, salt, and pepper.
