There’s something truly irresistible about asparagus—and no matter what ingredients you combine it with, it will always taste delicious. If you’re running out of ideas, how about adding some bacon to the mix?
That’s the idea behind bacon-wrapped asparagus—one of the most crispy, most mouth-watering asparagus dishes you could possibly make. Bacon and asparagus are basically the only things you need for the recipe, because the list of additional ingredients only includes olive oil, salt and pepper, and additional garnishing.
- 200 g bacon
- 500 g asparagus
- salt and pepper
- olive oil
- While preheating the oven to 400F, wash your asparagus and trim the stems. Drizzle them with olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
- Wrap thinly sliced bacon pieces around each asparagus stalk.
- Bake in your oven for about 10 minutes on each side, using tongs to turn the wrapped asparagus over.
- Once the bacon is crispy and asparagus is baked, take them out of the oven and let them cool down before serving them with garnishing of your choice.
