Red meat tends to have a very high level of saturated fat, especially when it’s either processed or a fatty cut. Too much saturated fat consumption has shown to increase bad cholesterol, as well as the possibility of heart disease.

Processed Meats

Speaking of processed meats, this is a pretty common thing you find with a lot of red meats, which is not good for those who eat it on the regular. Not only are processed meats generally preserved with chemicals, additives, and preservatives, but they’re also high in salt. This can increase your blood pressure, as well as other cardiovascular issues.
