This Spiked Affogato is a Coffee Cocktail Hit!

Affogatos are one of our favorite coffee treats. This ice cream and coffee mashup combines the strong flavor of espresso with the cool, rich creaminess of vanilla ice cream. Now, when you add alcohol to the mix to make this cocktail even more enjoyable, it becomes a spiked affogato that is hard for anyone to say no to! Here’s how to make one in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces espresso coffee
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1 ounce irish cream
  • 1 ounce Kahlua

Instructions:

  1. Start off by brewing 4 ounces of espresso coffee. If you don’t have an espresso maker, use whatever method you have at your disposal to make the strongest coffee possible. Set aside.
  2. Add one scoop of vanilla ice cream to a large martini glass. After this, pour over the 4 ounces of espresso, the ounce of Irish cream liquor, and the ounce of Kahlua. Wait for the espresso to partially melt the ice cream to add creaminess and vanilla flavor to the coffee.
  3. Serve and eat first with a spoon, and then by simply drinking once everything has melted. Enjoy!
