The Best idea for Breakfast: Arepa

One of the best ways to start your day is the breakfast Arepa. No matter what your plans are for the day, the Arepa is a perfect energizer for the day, and one of the best hangover cures found to mankind.

Traditionally Arepas originated in Columbia and Venezuela and can have different fillers but are always prepared with a ground maize dough envelopes as the container for whatever fillings you desire.

The most classic types of Arepas are served with shredded or ground meat, cheese (often goat), beans and vegetables. Common vegetables and fruits included are avocados, lettuce, and plantains.

If you are a vegetarian you can substitute the meat for beans or beans and eggs in your Arepa. This dish should be eaten hot and is also great portable food if you are on the go for the day!
