]]>The coronavirus isn’t stopping most cities from having farmers markets this summer (but with social distancing protocols). You’ll be able to choose between locally grown, grass-fed meat, organic produce, and baked goods.
With a monthly or annual membership, you can be part of a CSA, community-supported agriculture, and you’ll have access to produce from your local farms or groups of farms like meat, produce, eggs, and dairy. Many farms also have small markets where you can buy a portion or a full animal.
With restaurants and foodservice businesses closed, food suppliers started selling to people at home. Although many items are only available in large quantities, you can always break them down and freeze them into smaller portions.
Now’s the time to try meat delivery services as there are tons of options that focus solely on meat and seafood like Butcher Box, Omaha Steaks, Heritage Food, and Farmer’s Cart.
