Whether or not you’re an avid coffee drinker, there are so many reasons to start drinking matcha. Matcha is a ground-up version of green tea leaves, originating from Eastern Asia. Although the color may seem intimidating to some people, when it’s prepared well, matcha can be so delicious. Here are three reasons why you should start drinking matcha.

It’s High in Antioxidants

Just as green tea is known to be high in antioxidants, the powdered form of it (matcha) is too! Drink matcha every day for a whole lot of vitamins and antioxidants that can help with disease prevention.

It Improves Your Skin

Who doesn’t want skin that radiates from the inside out? Some studies have shown that matcha can improve the health of your skin. The vitamins found in matcha are known to help your skin become more glowy and smooth by boosting collagen production.

The Caffeine Won’t Leave You Jittery

One of the greatest benefits of matcha is the energy. It has more caffeine than other teas, but not quite as much as coffee. This means that it will help you wake up and focus, but without the jitters that coffee gives you. Additionally, it won’t give you that energy crash that often comes after an energy spike from coffee.
