Of course, shop bought is always an option, but if you really want to impress your guests, why not make your own? Check out these recipes for quick, delicious crackers that will go well with every cheese.

Oat Crackers

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1/5 cup of plain flour
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

Instructions:

Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Add the butter, rubbing it in with your fingers until the mix resembles breadcrumbs. Gradually add 1/4 cup of warm water, and stir until it forms a stiff batter. Roll out, and cut out the crackers using a cookie or round cutter. Place them on a lined baking tray, and bake in an oven heated to 340°F for 20 minutes.

Mixed Seed Crackers

  • 1.5 cups sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup flaxseeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

Instructions:

Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl, then add 1/2 a cup of warm water and stir well. Set aside for half an hour. Spread the mix onto a lined baking tray, and place in an oven heated to 340°F for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, and use a pizza slice to cut your crackers into even shapes. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes, until they are baked hard. Allow to cool before serving.
