Make Your Own Pickled Purple Cabbage

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of purple cabbage
  • caraway seeds
  • cider vinegar
  • filtered water
  • big mason jar
  • bowl for mixing
  • orange juice
  • lemon juice
  • cayenne pepper
  • chopped apples (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the cabbage into thinly sliced pieces.
  2. Put the cabbage into a frying pan and simmer until the cabbage is soft.
  3. Add water if necessary.
  4. Add the chopped apples (optional).
  5. Add the lemon juice.
  6. Add the orange juice.
  7. Add the caraway seeds.
  8. Add the cayenne pepper.
  9. Then take all the veggies and fruits on the side to cool.
  10. Place in a jar after it’s cooled.
  11. Consume within a week.
