Tasty on its own or as a side, applesauce sure hits the spot when prepared the right way. Here’s your guide to preparing a simple yet scrumptious and perfectly spiced applesauce in your own kitchen.

Ingredients

For this straightforward recipe, you’ll need four McIntosh apples, apple cider, salt, and ground cinnamon. Each apple needs to be peeled, cored, and roughly chopped before you set out to prepare this recipe.

Heat The Mixture

Mush all of the ingredients together in an oven-friendly dish and stir the mixture until everything is perfectly blended. Place inside an oven for 15 to 20 minutes before following the next step.

Cool Down

Uncover the dish and reduce the oven’s heat before continuing to warm the mixture in the oven. Cook for a further 35 to 45 minutes before removing and allowing the mixture to cool. Once at room temperature, you can refrigerate the applesauce, keeping it chilled for one week before eating.
