Hamburger stroganoff is a simple, delicious recipe that is also the perfect dinner idea.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz wide egg noodles
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chopped yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 o-oz package fresh sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon freshly minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat. Drain and rinse under cold water; drain. 2. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef to pan; cook 4 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms to pan; cook 4 minutes or until most of liquid evaporates, stirring frequently. Sprinkle with flour; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 1 minute or until slightly thick. Stir in salt and pepper. 3. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream and sherry. Serve over pasta. Instructions:
- Set the stove to medium-high heat and start cooking the beef together with the garlic and onion.
- When the meat is done, in around 5 to 6 minutes, you can remove the fat.
- While you’re cooking make sure that you divide it into small pieces.
- Set the heat to medium and include the mushrooms to the mix. Cook for 5 to 6 more minutes.
- Now, add the flour, but do 1 tablespoon at a time, while also mixing right after each tablespoon.
- Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, pepper, salt, and beef broth. Mix again.
- Set the heat to medium-high and wait for the mixture to start boiling.
- Pour in the noodles, add the lid and let it simmer for 10 to 12 minutes. When the noodles are done remove the liquid.
- Take off the lid and continue cooking for several more minutes.
- Take the pot away from the heat, and include the sour cream. Mix everything and serve the hamburger stroganoff topped off with parsley.
