Whether you’re trying to warm up in the winter or you’re looking for a tasty and nourishing appetizer to get your meal off to the right start, miso soup can go a long way to satisfying your tastebuds. Here is how you can make a nourishing miso soup in as little as 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces ramen noodles
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • salt
  • scallions
  • 1/2 cup white miso paste
  • 14 ounces tofu
  • 5 grams dried seaweed

Instructions:

  1. Place a pot over a high heat. Pour water into the pot and then whisk in the miso paste and soy sauce. Chop up the spinach and the tofu as you wait for the water to boil.
  2. Once the pot of water is boiling, reduce the heat and add noodles, cooking for 3 minutes. Add the tofu and spinach and continue to cook for around another 30 seconds. Top with seaweed and scallions before serving.

The ingredients are definitely not what you have in your fridge every day, so you might need to make a trip to the store. This classic miso soup will exceed all your expectations.

Method:

The first thing you need to do is put the water on medium heat until it simmers. During the following step add the nori and leave the mix to simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. Put the miso in a bowl and start adding hot water in it. Mix it until you get a smooth consistency. Add the green chard, tofu, green onion to the pot and leave it for 5 minutes.
