An easy, hearty, and delicious meal. 

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 14 oz fish pie mix 
  • 1.5 pounds of potatoes
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup frozen sweet corn
  • 1 cup single cream
  • 1 cup veg stock

Instructions:

  1. If your fish pie mix is frozen, defrost it. 
  2. Preheat your oven to 350 ℉.
  3. Chop the potatoes and add to a large pot of salted water.
  4. Place this on the heat and bring to a boil. 
  5. Meanwhile, add the frozen peas and sweet corn to a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook these for roughly 5 minutes and then drain.
  6. Cook the potatoes for 15-20 mins, until soft, and then drain. 
  7. Add some butter and a splash of milk to the potatoes and then mash them until smooth. 
  8. In a large oven-proof dish, place the fish pie mix. Pour over the cream and the veg stock, and then add the spinach and the cooked peas and sweetcorn. 
  9. Stir this all through, ensuring it’s mixed well.
  10. Add the mashed potato on top in an even layer.
  11. Sprinkle the grated cheese over and cover with foil.
  12. Pop in the oven for 30 minutes.
  13. Remove the foil and cook for another 10-20 minutes, until the cheese is browned.
  14. Serve with some steamed veggies of your choice.

So how to order a delivery from a restaurant like a pro?

First of all, choose a restaurant that has received a high rating on a reliable online site. Check that its delivery hours are right for you.

Consider whether the dish you want to order will survive the delivery. Not every dish is suitable for deliveries. If in doubt, consult the restaurant by phone.

If you are ordering food for the next few days, make sure the dishes can be heated at home, and if special preparation instructions from the restaurant are needed.

It’s not surprising that cheap and delicious processed foods are one of the biggest obesity factors today. We all know we shouldn’t eat them, but that’s easier said than done. The fact they are so tasty surely doesn’t help, but did you ever stop and think that they were designed like that on purpose?

Not all foods are the same. It’s difficult to overeat a salad, but it’s practically guaranteed you’ll overeat if you have a big bag of chips in front of you. No natural foods are as addicting as those made by humans, and it’s the synergy among their key ingredients that makes them like that.

🍫KINDERKOVÝ nepečený cheesecake. Keksíkový korpus, jemný vanilkový a Kinder krém a poleva z Kinder čokoládok. 🤩🤩 #kinder #cheesecake #dnesjem #daybyme • • 👩🏻‍🍳Potrebuješ: 600g Cream Cheese Classic (kupujem v @lidlsk) 250g jemný odtučnený tvaroh 150g maslových keksov 75g masla 3x vanilkový cukor 2 PL trstinový cukor 250ml šľahačkovej smotany 1 stužovač šľahačky 2 balenia kinder čokoládok 4 plátky želatíny @droetker_sk 70g bieleho jogurtu 👩🏻‍🍳Keksíky si rozdrvíme v sekacom mixéri, následne pridáme maslo a rozmixujeme ešte raz, aby sa nám vytvorila lepivá hmota. Keksíky natlačíme na dno a mierne okraje tortovej formy (23cm priemer) a dáme do chladničky. Na krém si vyšľaháme Cream Cheese, do ktorého postupne prišľahávame tvaroh, cukor a jogurt. Medzitým si nad parou rozpustíme 70g kinder čokoládiek s cca 20ml smotany a necháme vychladnúť. Zvlášť si taktiež vyšľaháme 180ml smotany spolu so stužovačom. Šľahačku následne opatrne primiešame do krému. Pripravíme si želatínu podla návodu a taktiež primiešame do pripraveného krému. Polovicu krému navrstvíme na korpus, do zvyšnej polovice primiešame pripravenú čokoládu a navrstvíme na biely krém. Dáme stuhnúť na 3 hodiny do chladničky. 70g čokolády si rozpustíme nad parou s 50ml smotany, necháme mierne vychladnúť a polejeme cheesecake. Necháme ho následne v chladničke na celú noc. Victoria Beckham started her public career as one of the Spice Girls and has since proved to be successful in everything she tried. She has a fashion brand that’s valued at $450 million in 2021. Not only she’s a beautiful and successful lady, but she’s also married to famous footballer David Beckham, with whom she has four children. People look up to this famous couple for many things, but when it comes to Victoria’s favorite meal, the comments are divided.

As it turns out, Mrs. Beckham has a pretty simple taste in food. Beckham recently appeared on River Café’s Table 4 podcast where she said “This is where I sound even more boring—in the food department. OK, what do I like? I like whole-grain toast with salt on it.”

She often orders steamed vegetables and balsamic vinegar. She enjoys foods that are cooked in a simple way and is not a fan of oils, butter, and sauces. Beckham doesn’t follow a strict diet and allows herself an occasional carb meal. She’ll typically refuse dessert, though. “This is where I sound even more boring in the food department. I like whole-grain toast with salt on it. It’s that carbohydrate that makes you feel comforted, and I love salt,” she said.

Cooking at home is fun, but also time-consuming. Buy the groceries in the supermarket, cook, clean. We do not always have the time it takes to prepare a delicious and nutritious home-cooked meal.

Luckily there are alternatives, and today you can order takeaway deliveries from restaurants quickly and easily. 

So how to order a delivery from a restaurant like a pro?

First of all, choose a restaurant that has received a high rating on a reliable online site. Check that its delivery hours are right for you.

Consider whether the dish you want to order will survive the delivery. Not every dish is suitable for deliveries. If in doubt, consult the restaurant by phone.

If you are ordering food for the next few days, make sure the dishes can be heated at home, and if special preparation instructions from the restaurant are needed.

Make an effort not to order from restaurants that use non-perishable plastic packaging. Environmental pollution is a real problem, and you should try and avoid using disposable utensils. Some restaurants offer reusable utensil deliveries in exchange for a small deposit that will be refunded to you upon returning the utensils to the restaurant.

Why are some foods so addictive? What are the ingredients in chocolate, fries, or chips that make you always want more and make portion control impossible?

It’s not surprising that cheap and delicious processed foods are one of the biggest obesity factors today. We all know we shouldn’t eat them, but that’s easier said than done. The fact they are so tasty surely doesn’t help, but did you ever stop and think that they were designed like that on purpose?

Not all foods are the same. It’s difficult to overeat a salad, but it’s practically guaranteed you’ll overeat if you have a big bag of chips in front of you. No natural foods are as addicting as those made by humans, and it’s the synergy among their key ingredients that makes them like that.

🍫KINDERKOVÝ nepečený cheesecake. Keksíkový korpus, jemný vanilkový a Kinder krém a poleva z Kinder čokoládok. 🤩🤩 #kinder #cheesecake #dnesjem #daybyme • • 👩🏻‍🍳Potrebuješ: 600g Cream Cheese Classic (kupujem v @lidlsk) 250g jemný odtučnený tvaroh 150g maslových keksov 75g masla 3x vanilkový cukor 2 PL trstinový cukor 250ml šľahačkovej smotany 1 stužovač šľahačky 2 balenia kinder čokoládok 4 plátky želatíny @droetker_sk 70g bieleho jogurtu 👩🏻‍🍳Keksíky si rozdrvíme v sekacom mixéri, následne pridáme maslo a rozmixujeme ešte raz, aby sa nám vytvorila lepivá hmota. Keksíky natlačíme na dno a mierne okraje tortovej formy (23cm priemer) a dáme do chladničky. Na krém si vyšľaháme Cream Cheese, do ktorého postupne prišľahávame tvaroh, cukor a jogurt. Medzitým si nad parou rozpustíme 70g kinder čokoládiek s cca 20ml smotany a necháme vychladnúť. Zvlášť si taktiež vyšľaháme 180ml smotany spolu so stužovačom. Šľahačku následne opatrne primiešame do krému. Pripravíme si želatínu podla návodu a taktiež primiešame do pripraveného krému. Polovicu krému navrstvíme na korpus, do zvyšnej polovice primiešame pripravenú čokoládu a navrstvíme na biely krém. Dáme stuhnúť na 3 hodiny do chladničky. 70g čokolády si rozpustíme nad parou s 50ml smotany, necháme mierne vychladnúť a polejeme cheesecake. Necháme ho následne v chladničke na celú noc. Foods that have the right proportions of sugar, salt, fat, and carbs — at least two of those groups — activate the parts of your brain responsible for pleasure and basically act like some drugs. They keep your brain wanting more, which is just what the manufacturers want so you’ll keep buying their products. Companies invest huge amounts of money to find just the right formulas, and you should know it’s not completely your fault that you can’t stop eating certain foods.

Missing a meal once every now and then is usually not a big deal, but what happens to your body when you start doing it regularly? Have you ever thought about how the way you store ingredients affects their lifespan? Well, let me tell you, you’ve actually been storing some foods incorrectly. Keep reading to find out which foods belong out of the fridge.

Tomatoes

You’ve probably been keeping tomatoes wrong your whole life. These delicious fruits will lose all their flavor if you put them in the fridge. There is no bigger crime than taking away the taste from something you bought. That’s why you should find a dark and colder place in your home to store tomatoes there.

Potatoes

Another food that you should avoid storing in the fridge. Cold temperatures have the ability to break down the starches in potatoes. This makes them unpleasant and overly-sweet and gritty. Instead, find a dark spot where you will keep them from now on.

Basil

Your favorite leafy green should stay away from the cold as well. The best way to store it is to put it in a glass of water. For long-term storage, you can blanch the leaves and then freeze the basil.

Honey
