We’re pretty impressed when we see someone creating unusual food art, and Daniele Barresi is one great example. Barresi turns regular produce into sculptures that look too beautiful to eat, and luckily they are all captured on camera. And we’re particularly fascinated by his avocado carving skills.

The Italian artist uses food for creative expression. He carves many foods including fruits, vegetables, and cheeses.
“When I touch my knife, my mind gives up to the heart and transmits directly to the hands, giving different forms to the decorations. It’s like magic,” Barresi writes on Bored Panda.

He spent most of his life in an Italian small town where he was free to explore the nature surrounding it. This fueled his imagination and inspired him to create art from natural materials, such as food. Over time, he practiced his skills and transformed into a professional carver. His dream is to one day have his own TV show, demonstrating the art of carving to a large audience.

Artists find inspiration in many different places, and this creative artist from Japan was inspired by anime to create these amazing 3D cookies. Known as Kiri0izm, she combines Japanese animation style with cookie-making skills to create a unique product loved by thousands of social media followers.

The more you look at her artwork, the more you will appreciate it. The details she creates with sugar icing are incredible and show that we’re dealing with a professional here. Also, it’s amazing the accuracy she uses to portray the characters. If you appreciate anime, you’ll be impressed!

The characters seem to pop out of the base, which creates the signature 3D effect that makes the artist recognizable. She recreates characters from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Hypnosis Mic, Mob Psycho 100, etc. And the details she uses are amazing, which include melted sugar for the character’s glasses, sake bottle, and watch face.

Follow the artist on Instagram if you want to see more of work on a daily basis. She’s also present on Twitter and Youtube, if you prefer those networks instead.

The world of food art never ceases to amaze us, because those who inhabit it are constantly finding unique ways to make their mark. One of the best examples is the Moscow-based cake design studio Tortik Annushka, best known for blending art, architecture, and food into one.

Founded by siblings Madina Yavorskaya and Rustam Kungurov in 2009, this family business is the perfect reflection of the duo’s artistic background. Yavorskaya has a degree in fine arts, while Kungurov studied architecture—and that explains the artistic and architectural flair of their creations.
