Mayonnaise is the king of condiments. It goes well with almost everything and can be used in more ways than you realize. And when you get a bit bored of it, you can switch to spicy mayo to shake things up.

Now, spicy mayo has been a thing for quite a while, and there are plenty of store-bought varieties you can stock up your fridge with. However, we believe that making your own spicy mayo is a better option. This way, you can control the heat level, and it doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes to whisk it up.

How to Make Spicy Mayo at Home

The list of ingredients you need includes regular mayonnaise, some kind of hot sauce like Tabasco or Sriracha, lemon juice, and chili powder. The measurements will depend on the amount of spicy mayo you want to make and how hot you want to make your spicy mayo.

Simply add mayo to a bowl and then throw in hot sauce, a splash of lemon juice, and chili powder. Whisk for a couple of minutes until the mayo changes color and all the ingredients get combined. Taste and see if it is spicy enough. If you want more kick, add more hot sauce. If it’s too hot, add more mayo.

Place in a container and refrigerate, or eat right away with fries, chicken wings, and anything else you desire.
