Finding vegan ice creams in stores isn’t too hard nowadays, but they can be on the pricier side. This is why you are best off saving your money and making delicious vegan ice cream at home. It is much simpler than you think, and you won’t be able to get enough of it. All you need is some bananas and a bit of free time. That is it.

How to Make Vegan Banana Ice Cream

To make vegan banana ice cream, peel two or three bananas and slice them. Then line the banana slices on a baking sheet and pop them in the freezer. Leave them for at least an hour inside so they can get thoroughly frozen.

Take the frozen banana slices and put them in a food processor. Blend them until you get a smooth, ice-cream-like consistency. You can also use a regular blender but expect the ice cream to be chunkier.

You can immediately start eating your ice cream or transfer them to containers and pop them in a freezer for half an hour to harden.

If the banana flavor isn’t hitting the sweet spot, you can simply add some maple syrup alongside frozen banana slices before blending. This will make your vegan ice cream even more similar to the real thing.
