Impossible Beef Hot Dog is Coming to Grocery Stores and Food Joints in 2024

Impossible Foods, a producer of plant-based meat substitutes, is getting ready to launch its meat-free take on hot dogs. Called the Impossible Beef Hot Dog, the product is expected to arrive in grocery stores and food joints in 2024.

Impossible Food has become one of the most recognizable names in the plant-based meat substitutes market with a series of popular products like Impossible Beef, Impossible Burgers, and Impossible Chicken Nuggets. Now, the company wants a slice of the hot dog and sausages market that generated more than $8 billion in sales last year.

Peter McGuinness, CEO and President of Impossible Foods, called hot dogs a “classic part of American culture” and said that it was the company’s longtime goal to add it to the lineup of their meat-free products.

“Our adaptation replicates that quintessential hot dog taste while offering consumers a nutrient-dense product that’s better for the planet. We want people to see that there’s really no compromise when you choose Impossible products. It’s as easy as throwing an Impossible Hot Dog on the grill – right next to an Impossible Burger,” McGuinness added in a press release.

Before releasing the Impossible Beef Hot Dog, the company will give hot dog aficionados an opportunity to try it out. It plans to set up a pop-up shop in Midtown Manhattan on December 16 and hand out free plant-based hot dogs.
