Once they get cold, french fries are no longer an acceptable food for the majority of people. It doesn’t take long for them to lose flavor and texture, and they taste nothing like they did fresh from the fryer. Is there a way to reheat them so they become tasty again?

If you try to reheat the fries in the oven, you won’t achieve much. They will pretty much taste like cardboard. Refrying them means that you dip them in oil once again, and you don’t need those extra calories, especially when you won’t really get a satisfying result. One tool that can help you here is a waffle maker.

Don’t expect the waffle fries to taste exactly like fresh fries, but it’s the best you can get. Simply heat the waffle maker to the highest setting and place some cold fries in the center, then close the lid. Once you notice the fries becoming golden brown, they’re done. Transfer to a plate and enjoy them while they’re warm.

Soup

Although it’s easy to throw a bowl of soup in the microwave, it will probably take you less time to pour it into a pot and put it on the stove. Getting soup piping hot in the microwave actually takes a really long time, so you might as well go for the stove.

French Fries

Cold French fries are one of the sadder things in life, so don’t make it worse by putting them in the microwave! For your fries to really come back to life, you need to put them on the stove. That will make them crispy and hot again instead of oily and flabby.

Pasta

This is one dish that you can definitely reheat in the microwave. You might have to sprinkle some water on top to loosen it up, but you’ll definitely be good to go.
