Most people don’t even bother making pasta when they are out of pasta sauce. But if you ask us, this is a missed opportunity to experiment and open your taste buds to new and exciting flavor combinations. Next time you are out of pasta sauce and craving pasta or simply want to try something new, use these alternatives.

Butter and Red Pepper Flakes

This is one of the simplest ways to make pasta taste awesome. Place hot pasta in a bowl and add some butter and red pepper flakes. Toss until the butter melts and red pepper flakes spread around. Alternatively, you can also use black pepper or even some other spices instead of red pepper flakes.

Salad Dressing

Salad dressings are widely used in pasta salads, and they taste amazing. There is nothing stopping you from adding one to hot pasta, and it will be equally great. Alternatively, you can make your own salad dressing for this occasion by combining olive oil, mustard, salt, garlic, and lemon juice.

Barbecue Sauce

This one might sound controversial, but don’t judge before you try. With its tangy and smokey flavor, BBQ sauce will pack pasta with a lot of flavor, especially if you add some chicken or other protein to the dish.

Pesto

Finally, pesto is always a great pairing for pasta. It will result in bright and light pasta with a dose of creaminess, and you’ll like it so much that you won’t even think about the missing pasta sauce.

Pasta sauce is a pantry staple that many of us have lying around, but did you know there’s so much you can do with jarred pasta sauce besides using it for pasta? We bet you haven’t used marinara sauce like this before.

Oven-Baked Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

This dish combines two of America’s favorite foods—grilled cheese sandwiches and pizza. Just butter your bread, spread marinara sauce inside, then layer mozzarella and your favorite toppings before popping them into the oven.

Shakshuka

This breakfast dish originates from Tunisia and has since made it to restaurants across the world. With jarred pasta sauce, you can save tons of time, and you probably have the rest of the ingredients in your pantry.

. #receita #receitasnutrilu #recipie #dicasnutrilu #shakshuka #ovosnopurgatório
