]]> Are you looking for a new and interesting dessert to surprise your dinner guests? Well, cookie dough ice cream sandwiches might be exactly up your alley. Here’s your guide to making this scrumptious dessert that will be sure to light up your next dinner party.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream

Instructions:

  1. Microwave the flour in a small bowl for 15 seconds. Stir and heat again and repeat the process until the flour has been heated for 1 minute total.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the butter, both sugars, and the vanilla extract. Put the dough onto a baking sheet and press it into a 16″ x 8″ rectangle. Put it in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  3. Take out the frozen dough and cut it in half crosswise. Put half of the dough in a pan and top up with ice cream. Spread the ice cream evenly across the dough and top it with the remaining dough.
  4. Freeze for at least 2 hours. Afterwards, remove from the freezer and cut into 16 sandwiches and enjoy.
