Gin and tonics are always a great choice. These light and simple cocktails are a perfect option for sipping on a warm night while chatting with friends and family if you are looking to lighten the mood and spark conversation.

While gin and tonics are typically only made with lime, tonic water, and gin, Spaniards like to add their own twist to this cocktail, which is hugely popular in their country. Do you want to learn how to make a Spanish gin and tonic? It’s as easy as this!

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts gin
  • 5 parts tonic water
  • Slice of orange peel
  • Slice of lemon peel
  • Juniper berries
  • Two cucumber slices
  • 1 mint leaf
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Start off by combining the gin and tonic water in a large glass with ice. Stir these two ingredients gently to combine fully.
  2. Next, add the orange peel, lemon peel, juniper berries (to taste), cucumber slices, and mint leaf to the drink. Allow them to “soak” for around 5-10 minutes in order to let the drink take on the fantastic aromatic characteristics of these very Spanish additions.
  3. Once you’ve done this, you’re all ready to enjoy your Spanish gin and tonic. Salud!
