Cheese and tomatoes are usually paired in salads, but there’s no reason to stop there. The real potential of this combo lies in cheese-stuffed tomatoes that will win over your taste buds and become your new favorite dish. Here’s how to make them.

Ingredients:

  • 5 large tomatoes
  • 1 cup goat, cream, or feta cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 1 can of tuna (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare tomatoes. Take a knife and cut the top of the tomato. Take a spoon and remove the meat and the seeds from the inside. You don’t have to throw them away as they can be used for making sauces.

2. Combine cheese, sour cream, olive oil, salt, and pepper into a bowl. You can also add tuna or ham if you’d like to give more flavors to the dish.

3. Give it a good mix until all the ingredients blend together. Use a spoon to stuff the tomatoes with this filling.

4. At this point, the cheese-stuffed tomatoes are ready to be enjoyed. But you can make one extra step to take the dish over the top.

5. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Brush a pan with oil or cooking spray and arrange tomatoes on it. Pop the pan in the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Take them out, serve on a plate, and dig in.
