]]>Make sure your ground beef is fresh and soft. If you’re taking the ground beef out of the freezer, you’ll have to defrost it, which is less than ideal. If you know you’re going to make meatballs, try to make them on the same day you buy the meat so it doesn’t have to go into the freezer.
Arguably the most important part of making meatballs is the sauce. In a large pot, combine two cups of water, one chopped onion, 6 chopped garlic wedges, a half cup of breadcrumbs, two cups of barbecue sauce, and two cups of ketchup to a boil. Bear in mind that you can adjust the measurements for the sauces if you choose, and you can substitute them with other sauces as well. As the mixture boils, add salt, pepper, oregano, and garlic powder to taste.
Take your ground beef and roll medium-sized balls out of them. Once you’ve rolled all of your balls, place them into the boiling sauce. Allow the balls to cook for at least an hour in the pot, and eventually, you’ll have a delicious pot of cooked meatballs. Enjoy!
