]]> One of the most common arguments we hear when it comes to “who has the best food” seems to always go back to pizza. Perhaps it’s because pizza is so delicious, or perhaps it’s because it’s so practical, but many people from all over the world swear that their city’s pizza is the best. So which U.S. cities reign supreme in the pizza department?

New York City, New York

We’d be remiss if we didn’t put New York City on this list. New Yorkers swear by their pizza and they’ve honestly got a pretty good point. Being that NYC is a melting pot of cultures, backgrounds, and cooking methods, it’s no surprise that the collective New York zeitgeist was able to formulate one of the greatest pizza cultures on the planet.

Chicago, Illinois

As great as New York’s pizza is, if you talk to someone from Chicago, they’ll laugh in your face. Chicagoans are persistent and stubborn about the idea that their pizza is actually the best that America has to offer. Known for their iconic deep-dish slice, Chicago pizzerias truly are one of the kind, and we truly recommend grabbing a slice if you’re ever in the area.

The patisserie also has locations where you can eat or pick up small pastries to go. Any type of dessert you can think of is made at Vanille, which has been open for over 15 years and run by chef Sophie Evanoff.

At one of the locations, you are also able to enjoy tea time. Hosting one of the most decadent tea parties, you can order a tower of macaroons and pastries along with delicious tea in the afternoon. Boasting dozens of flavors ranging from lavender to chocolate. Nothing says thank you like a sleeve of macaroons from Vanille.
